Are you Ready!!!

Hello fellow Lovers of HIS Presence!!!

I cannot believe how fast time has flown!  We have 4 days until we leave for Migliarino, Italy!! www.facebook.com/Migliarino-in-Gospel   Please make sure you 'like' this page on facebook!  It would be such a great encouragement to both the vocalists there and myself here.

Now on to this Tuesday's question:

Q: How do you prepare for your International Music Mission Trips?

A: This question will need to be answered in multiple sections.  There are at least 4 ways I prepare for the Music Missions Trips overseas. 1)Physically. 2) Spiritually. 3) Culturally. 4) Emotionally

I will begin with physically. Physically, I prepare for my mission trips in 3 ways.
First, I find out from GTM Ministries www.gtmministries.com  and +Hanne Gallatin what the climate will be like and what kind of physical activities will be expected of me.  Once while preparing for the Czech Republic last year, my sister, Arnetta and myself, find out from our host that it would be pretty cold, hence, we packed appropriately.
Secondly, I adjust and increase my exercise to fit the terrain.  Most hosts are excited about showing you historical landmarks of their country and this takes plenty of walking, so I increase my walking stateside to prepare.
Thirdly, due to various health conditions, I meet up with my health care team to find out any concerns they may have and how to best prepare myself.  Some countries I know that I am not allowed to visit so I decline those invitations; no amount of physical preparation could fortify me for them.
I praise God that since He has started me in this wonderful life work of International Missions and songwriting, I have yet to have a health issue in the countries which I have visited! For such a time as this He has fortified me!!!

I'm preparing physically for Italy by cutting back on certain foods and habits, so that I can enjoy the amazing food in Italy.  I've learned to trade the right now food pleasure for the authentic overseas delicacies I love to enjoy.

That's all for tonight! Love you guys!! Next time you hear from me it will be from Migliarino Italy!!!

NEXT WEEK: How I prepare spiritually for an International Music Missions Trip

What do You Do?!?!

Hello Lovers of HIS presence!!!

I've got TWO weeks to GOOOO! I'm so excited about this!  Italy is my dream place!

Each time I post I want to answer any questions that I'm asked regarding the International Music Mission Trips that my Sister, Hanne Gallatin, of www.gtmministries.com. coordinates for me.

This is the most common question I'm asked.

Q: What exactly will you be doing?
A:Simply put, an International Music Missionary's responsibility is to:
     1) Be the heart of Jesus to HIS people. This includes and not limited to; fearlessly loving unconditionally, being willing to pray when asked, create games or curriculum that will help people see the love of Christ more clearly, and serving in any capacity that would demonstrate God's heart to HIS people.
2)Be prepared to enter into spiritual warfare through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs. Many countries will not allow the Gospel to be spoken, specifically God or Jesus, so we get to share the Gospel thru Music.  Spiritual warfare takes place when the God's presence is released in to the atmosphere through songs.  This releasing will always collide with the stony hearts and the tense atmosphere of fear that the Devil seeks to foster in people.
     3) In Migliarino, Italy I will be practicing with a  great Music Minister-Marina Toccola, and her choir, for a concert that will be held on Saturday the 28th.   Also, there will be great workshops taught in the evening about Negro Spirituals and how they were able to sing even in a strange land.  Lastly, I've been asked to sing at a wedding on Sunday the 29th in Italy!!! How awesome is that!!!

On to the other details!
I'm just about all the way packed.  I have a few thing to get.  I've decided to reduce the amount of clothes I'll bring so that I can bring more back!  I'm not really a shoes girl, more so, a Scarf-and-Cardigan-type of Girl.  That's been a struggle but I'm down to 5 cardigans and two scarves. Can you say- VICTORY!
All I'm waiting for now are my shoes and compression sock to come in the mail and I will be ready to GOOOO!

I'm on my way!!

Hey Guys it's Radiant,

The tickets to Italy have been purchased all thanks to Artelida Hairston and JourneyBird Travel! It's time to prepare to share the Gospel thru Music again.  Many thanks to Hanne Gallatin and GTM Ministries for recognizing my calling to be a Music Missionary to Europe, Asia, and Down Under.

Now...if I could only decide on what to pack!
